Global Narrative for Researchers
Global Narrative is a prototype longitudinal narrative infrastructure designed to support identity research, cultural hybridity and migration research, psycholinguistics, reflective dialogue corpora, and AI-assisted longitudinal interpretation.
Methodological gap
Most current methods remain weak on trajectory, interpretive continuity, naturalistic identity change in text, and multilingual or culturally hybrid narrative material across time.
Potential use cases
- Culturally hybrid or Fourth Culture populations
- Longitudinal reflective dialogue and narrative development
- Identity integration and cross-time reconfiguration
- Emotional and thematic evolution across months and years
- Mixed-methods bridges between qualitative interpretation and computational analysis
Why Global Narrative matters methodologically
Global Narrative offers a structured middle ground: longitudinal by design, interpretively legible, and suitable for building bridges between human reading and AI-assisted patterning.
Current foundations
- Conceptual design and framework architecture
- Adjacent methodological papers in longitudinal text analysis
- Ongoing computational analysis work and interpretive pipeline development
- Integration into the wider Living Literature ecosystem
First proof of concept
A minimal feasible PoC can remain focused and concrete:
- Ingest longitudinal text material
- Segment data across time
- Generate selected narrative, emotional, and thematic indicators
- Produce interpretable report outputs
- Support a small pilot dataset
Likely collaborators
- Psycholinguists
- Migration and belonging researchers
- Narrative identity researchers
- HCI and AI researchers
- Public-sector or wellbeing researchers
- Builders able to support a focused prototype
